I have been practicing the art of henna since 2004. What started out as a self-taught experiment has blossomed into a love for a rich and rewarding art form that represents to me so many things – culture, beauty, self-expression, and a love for the human body. Initially working solely on myself, I soon expanded my efforts to include adorning friends and by 2006, I began taking my love for mehndi out into the community, offering my henna services publicly. I have participated in such diverse events as shop openings, art fairs, Middle Eastern dance haflas, weddings, and private appointments.

My interests are wide and varied, and the celebration of creativity is central to me. I am currently spending my time working as a veterinary assistant and searching for expressions of compassion, wisdom and mindfulness throughout my experiences. You can also visit me at www.myspace.com/annaom.
