Kanti Mehndi: Serving the Denver area, this is the website of Amy Swagman, my friend and past client of Marulanna Mehndi, not to mention an amazing henna artist.
Henna Lounge: Home of one of my mehndi idols, Darcy Vasudev. Darcy is the premier henna artist on the West Coast, serving the San Francisco Bay area. She is also my primary supplier of henna powder, accessories, and inspiration.
Modern Mystical Adornment: Kenzi is another awesome henna artist based in NYC. This site has a load of educational information, beautiful galleries, and a heavy focus on Moroccan traditions. The mother site, Maison Kenzi, sells beautiful imported goods from north Africa.

Sarah Mayne: Sarah Mayne is a Grand Rapids-based Middle Eastern Dance instructor and performer. She offers classes steeped in tradition as well as innovation, and gives breathtaking performances solo and with her troupe the Garbha-Grha Dancers. She can be found sporting some smokin' Marulanna Mehndi henna!
Na'imah: Na'imah is also a Grand-Rapids based bellydancer and instructor. Her teaching and performing are incredibly skilled and technical, interspersed with major charisma and hilarity! Did I mention she is especially luscious when covered by Marulanna Mehndi henna?

Safira: Safira is a Middle Eastern dance/bellydance instructor and performer based in Kalamazoo. She offers classes at Bellydance Kalamazoo, and performs in K-zoo and beyond! She has been involved in the arts for over 30 years, and her creativity and vitality are inspiring! I have had the honor of adorning her with henna and continue to work with her through the bellydance community.
Ensemble Al-Asdeka: This stirring musical act combines traditional Middle Eastern music with elements of rock, jazz and worldbeat. Based in Grand Rapids, these four musicians create a sound that is unique, exotic and intoxicating. Marulanna Mehndi has had the pleasure of doing henna in the presence of this inspiring live music many times, and it truly complements the experience!
East Hills Council of Neighbors: East Hills is one of the most creative and progressive areas in Grand Rapids offering wonderful community events and serving as the home for many fantastic businesses, artists, and loads of super people! Marulanna Mehndi has been involved in several events in the 'hood and I hope to continue the tradition.
Avenue for the Arts Market: Located on Division Ave. in Grand Rapids, this event runs once a month from June to September and is a celebration of the community and its creativity. Host to local artists, artisans, and other imaginative souls, the Market is a project of
Dwelling Place, a non-profit organization which provides homes and revitalizes neighborhoods.
